Butterfly in Nagoya
Walking along the canal in Nagoya I photographed this butterfly on a yellow flower. Species unknown to me. More flowers on Today´s flowers and more macro on I heart macro.

Yes they are! They are never still. Saw another butterfly, black and orange something, on the same day that didn´t like to pose for me so I have no picture of that one. I wish you a good day!

Such a delicate and beautiful image! So lovely Randi. Thanks for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro:-) If you haven’t already, I do hope you’ll send me something for the gratitude quilt this year. No actual quilting involved… just words of gratitude from your heart, in your native language is fine.

It looks like a cabbage butterfly to me also. They are common here in Sweden. But I thought this one that I found in Japan looked a bit bigger than the ones I am used to so wasn’t sure about species. I have looked it up now and it seems that the cabbage white is common all around the planet so it is probably the same butterfly. I wish you a good day!
