Shadowed street
Walking through the sunset on shadowed residential streets in Nagoya in the beginning of November 2013. The sun sets rather early in the middle of Japan. It is circa five in the afternoon when this picture is taken.

Great photo. I really like the changing colours across the horizon and then all the converging lines of the power cables, it’s nicely framed 🙂

Thank you! I was visiting my son when I took this picture and he told me he loved walking home in the sunset and I think this picture catches the beauty of it. To me all the cables across the streets were very exotic as there aren´t any in the country where I live. I wish you a good week!

I googled a little and I have the impression from films that there are a lot of cables in San Fransisco. Mostly because of the cable cars if I am correct?
Ironically this city, Nagoya in Japan, that lies in eastern Japan on the other side of the Pacific ocean from San Francisco has almost the same latitude (35°) as San Francisco (37°) so the sun should set at about the same time in San Francisco as it does in Japan. So it is both alike and different.
My son who lived in Japan for several years told me that the time that it was light only varied by about an hour during the year. To me who live on a more northern latitude this is exotic. We have long summer days and very short and dark winter days.
You are welcome! I hope you like it. I wish you a good weekend!

Thank you! One could always hope that it will deter someone! I sometimes think that only those that write texts or take photographs that know about copyright.
I love your pictures of the pit ponies! I wish you a good week!
